Nav Kannan is VP of Smart Home Solutions within CommScope’s Home Networks business. Nav currently leads the HomeSight business initiative to deliver innovative solutions for the healthcare and homecare market.

Nav has more than 30 years of experience in connectivity and media technologies, including various senior management roles in software engineering, systems engineering and product management.

Nav began his career with CommScope (formerly ARRIS Solutions Inc.) as Senior Director, Global Software Engineering where he managed the software development for all set-top products for the Americas market. He also held the position of VP CPE System Engineering and in this role he was responsible for international software centers, overseeing a team of more tan 600 software engineers. Prior to spearheading the HomeSight business initiative, Nav was VP Product Management, Cable Boradband Products, where he oversaw the product portfolio of integrated cable gateways, routers, modems, Wi-Fi extenders and advanced whole-home Wi-Fi solutions.

Prior to joining CommScope, Nav was the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of West Ridge Networks, a venture-funded startup that developed a software quality management product, SQMworks. Nav also held engineering positions at Celox Networks, Inc. and General Instrument.

Nav is passionate about connected healthcare, and his experience in technology positions him well to lead the HomeSight initiative. He is a firm believer that caring for our aging population is a human endeavor, and that the role of technology is to help enable caregivers to improve remote care delivery, reduce loneliness and isolation, and support longer independent living.
