CommScope, Inc., a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks, is hosting an "Innovations@Work" conference at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Doha, Qatar.
The conference begins November 26 at 9 a.m. AST and will provide insights into the technology trends driving enterprise IT and offer solutions to business challenges in the data centre.
"Business enterprises continually contend with efficiency issues, especially in regards to energy usage and the operation of data centers and building automation," said Ciaran Forde, vice president of Enterprise Sales, Middle East and Africa region, CommScope. "Today, communication generates large volumes of data and this in turn, impacts network performance, availability, capacity and storage."
Attendees will learn the latest cutting edge concepts, industry trends and how technology is helping customers manage and improve efficiency in data centres. The conference agenda will cover the importance of getting the physical layer of the data centre correct, the extension of structured cabling, building-performance lighting and data centre infrastructure management (DCIM).
Earlier this year, CommScope acquired Redwood Systems, Inc., an industry leader in LED lighting solutions and integrated sensor networks for data centres and buildings, and iTRACS Corporation, a global leader in open enterprise-class DCIM.
"These acquisitions broaden our scope in the data centre space and the conference will include in-depth discussions around DCIM, intelligent lighting and in-building wireless solutions. With the increased need for data capacity, ubiquitous wireless coverage within building and reduced energy consumption, more intelligent buildings and data centres have become a major focus," Forde added.
Aside from networking, the event will offer IT decision makers the opportunity to learn more about the following pain points of the data centre market:
- Connectivity to support the needs of tomorrow; migration paths from 10 to 40 to 100G
- How intelligent lighting can help reduce costs and maximize efficiencies
- How you can keep control, track and manage your data centre
- In-building wireless and how to optimize mobile coverage
CommScope has already invested significantly in the country by expanding its operations, including a reinforced sales team and new local distributors in Qatar.
